Voice Over Internet Protocol is a great way to make the most out of having a land line telephone in your home or business. Even though DSL is plenty fast enough for digital phone service, it sometimes requires a landline-tied phone line in order to function. That's because broadband cable is always on, doesn't have a time lag, and doesn't rely on old landline phone lines. Therefore, with broadband cable, you can almost always stick it to the traditional phone company when going with digital phone service.
